Should designers bill hourly or per project?
Per-project/package pricing is standard for defined work like a logo or brand kit; hourly suits open-ended or ongoing work. List extra revisions or scope beyond the package as separate lines.
Can I withhold final files until the invoice is paid?
Many designers release source/final files only after final payment and say so in the terms. Add that note to the invoice so it is agreed in writing.
