Flooring invoice FAQ
What should a flooring invoice include?
Your business name, the customer and job address, the material and square footage, the installed rate, prep and underlayment, trim/transitions, tax, and total. Note the product line if the customer selected it.
Do flooring installers bill materials and labor separately?
Often it’s billed "installed" at a per-square-foot rate that includes labor, with prep and trim as separate lines. You can also split material and labor — the generator supports both.
How do I handle furniture moving or old-floor removal?
Add them as their own line items (e.g. "Tear-out & haul-away", "Furniture moving") so the customer sees exactly what’s included.
